 Balmain Hair Extensions:

Balmain fill-in hair extensions are an innovative method of adding volume, colour, creating texture or adding length to your natural hair.

The Balmain extension range includes 100% human hair (which can be treated the same as your natural hair) or 'flairhair fibre' which is man made. There are 72 different shades to choose from, and three different textures: straight, wavy and curly.

The extensions last 3 to 4 months depending on the natural hair growth, aftercare and maintenance.

How they are applied:

A highlight size extension is taken and added to a highlight size section of your natural hair, these are then joined using a bond.

Removal and re-application:

A removal solution is applied to the bond, the bond disintergrates and the extension is removed.

If the extensions have been looked after properly then a percentage can be re-used using the Balmain re-bond system. Re-application is cost effective, and significantly lower than the first application.

The condition of the hair extensions are guaranteed for 6 months when following the balmain after care regime.

On a full head of lengthening extensions, 70% can be re-used. the cost per extension re-used is £2.50, (plus the price of any new extensions used).

Maintenance:

During the 3 to 4 months it is normal to lose a few extensions, keep hold of them and they can be re-applied. It advisable to have a maintenance check every 4 to 6 weeks and any loose extensions can be re-applied.

A maintenance check will cost £15.00.

Removal:

It is recommended a full removal is done around 3 months to avoid damaging the natural hair.

Volume/colour removal £15.00

Lengthening removal £38.00

Texture:

It is advised to use the same texture extensions as your natural hair. However, if you would like a texture; curly or wavy, then your natural hair has to be permed to match the extensions. (This has to be done at least 3 days prior to attaching the extensions.

Volume:

Body can be created by adding Balmain extensions to fine hair, without creating length. Once the extensions have been applied they are then cut to blend in with your natural hair.

The price per bond cost £4.00. Depending on your hair, between 20-30 extensions will be needed, (costing £80-£120).

Length:

This is the most well kown method. Your natural hair can be doubled in length. A lot more extensions are used when lengthening than any other method to ensure the extensions blend in with your natural hair. The texture and colour of the extensions are matched with your natural hair. Two colours are used to get a more natural effect. Lighter shade can be used to give a highlighted effect. Your natural hair is pre cut before the extensions are applied, so they blend in together.Once the whole head is completed, it is then cut into the desired style.

Lengthening the hair requires alot more extensions, it cost £3.50 per bond. The number of extensions needed all depends on your natural hair. A client with finer hair will need less extensions than a client with thicker hair. This is to ensure the extensions blend in with the natural hair.

A client with fine hair will need around 100 bonds (costing £350), a client with medium thickness hair will need around 150 bonds (costing £525), and a client with thick hair will need up to 200 bonds at the most, (costing £700).

Colour:

You can update you look in an instant with coloured extensions, without using chemicals on your own hair. Choose from natural highlights, the latest fashionable colours or try something really daring! The bright colours such as pinks, blues, purples and reds do not fade with Balmain extensions as they do on chemically coloured hair, and are alot more visual too! If your natural hair does not allow you to go lighter with chemicals, with extensions you can go as light as you wish without using bleach on your hair, and without damaging your hair. The extensions are then cut to the chosen style without adding length to the hair.

The price per bond is £4.00, if you only want a small amount of colour you will need 10 extensions (costing £40), if you require a more visual affect then more extensions will be needed, between 20-30 (costing between £80-£120).

Balmain advise you to use their after care product, to ensure you get the most out of your extensions. The extensions are then guaranteed for 6 months.
